L6-Engine

SPL 3.1/3.2 liter

This is the ultimate Natural Aspirated L-engine setup in 2010 technology and parts. It is for the most serious and financially able racers. With Argon-welded SPL head, special 75S cam, our original Super light weight forged pistons & H-beam rods with a stroker crank, this engine will generates approximately 115-120hp per liter, and in the case of 3.2liter (89mm bore x 85mm stroke), with appropriate periferals, it should generate north of 370hp.

STD 3.1/3.0/2.8 liter

The STD setup is our most popular setup, and it is for those who wants to race, auto-X, drive in town, and cruising on highways. The extensive head & bottom end work bring about the hidden performance and the beauty of natural aspirated L-engine setup. The engine response is extremely quick, and the engine feel you get makes you think as if you are driving an F-1car. Runs on standard hi-octane gas, and is really smooth from low to high RPM range and is easy to drive in town or on highway. STD 3.1 generates 320-340hp range.

Street L28

Street 2.8liter setup is for an entry level enthusiasts, most ideal for those who want a bit more power than the stock engine, or who are in need of an engine overhaul, and want to upgrade a few things.

Nothing secret about this, this is basically a high-compression 2.8 liter setup with a street cam and valve train. L28 block (or overbore L24 block), L28 crankshaft, flat top pistons, slightly milled cylinder head with our street cam & valve train to give it a bit more punch. Perfect for daily driver, street/show car, auto X, light road racing.

Stock Engine Overhaul

We can overhual your original engine, if your plan is to keep everything original. We can make it look and run like factory brand new. Just send your engine to us or drop the whole car and we can remove/reinstall it for you.

Carburetors

Having difficulties with your carburetors? whether Solex (Mikuni) or Weber carbs, we can help.

Solex 40/44/50 or Weber 40/45/48/50 carburetor rebuild: $200 base price (per carburetor) + parts.

CAUTION: Some people (and shops) sandblast carburetor bodies, but that is a desaster waiting to happen, as sand particles tends to get stuck in small holes or fuel/air channels. We take carburetors completely apart and chemically lean them. At customer's request, we can zinc plate all of the metal brackets/nuts/bolts/covers to make it look like new.

We also sell Solex (Mikuni) OEM parts and performance parts, and we occasionally have rebuilt Solex carburetors in stock, or we can even assemble a complete Solex carburetor setup to suite your needs.

 

There simply aren't even decent headers & exhausts available in the US for L-engines. Some sold out there are too skinny (38mm), ugly looking, and don't fit well. Datsun Spirit, Inc can help our royal customers with the ledgendary Dual exhaust system (42.8mm header + 50mm dual muffler) like what was on Z432 or 240ZG. or for more serious racers, we can help with custom hand-made, hand bent gigantic header (45mm or 48mm) that fit Left Hand Drive.
